Potting Sheds

A potting shed gives you the best of both worlds: plenty of natural light for sowing seeds and potting on, plus dry, secure storage for your tools, compost and pots. Our wooden potting sheds pair large glazed windows with solid timber walls. That makes them a natural partner to a greenhouse, or a great all-in-one option where there's only room for one garden building.

Choosing a potting shed

  • Size: a 6x6 suits smaller gardens and a single bench. An 8x6 is the most popular all-rounder. Choose 10x6, 8x8 or 10x8 for a long potting bench plus room for a mower or bikes.
  • Glazing: toughened glass gives the clearest light and the most traditional look. Styrene glazing is shatterproof and ideal for family gardens.
  • Door: a stable door lets you open just the top half for ventilation on warm days.
  • Base: every shed needs a firm, level base. Concrete or paving slabs work best.
